26.03.2026 Spain News Amazon has unveiled a further €18 billion investment in data centre projects in Spain, significantly scaling up its commitment to infrastructure that underpins artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
The announcement, made on Monday during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) telecoms trade fair in Barcelona, brings the company’s total planned investment in Spain to €33.7 billion through to 2035. According to Amazon, the projects are expected to support close to 30,000 jobs.
In a statement released alongside the announcement, the company said the funding would be used ‘to expand and support data infrastructure, delivering advanced artificial intelligence and cloud computing capabilities to organisations across Europe’.
